We had a great time in Halifax at Joan's house. It's a nice clean cozy house right near downtown Halifax (about 15-20 minutes walk). The room was 75$ + tax.
The house and room were clean, the breakfast was great, and Joan was really nice and helpful overall. There's also wireless Internet access. I'll definitely go back to this place if I'm around Halifax.

On a eu beaucoup de plaisir à Halifax dans la maison de Joan. C'est une belle vieille maison chaleureuse tout près du centre-ville à distance de marche (environ 15-20 minutes). Le prix de la chambre: 75$ + taxes.
La maison et la chambre étaient propres, le déjeuner excellent et Joan nous a beaucoup aidé pour découvrir la ville. Aussi: accès sans-fil à Internet. J'y retournerai définitivement lorsque je serai près d'Halifax.
